The Adding Hours Calculator totals two durations measured in hours and shows the result both as a decimal number of hours and in hours-and-minutes format. It is handy for adding up work shifts, study sessions, or billable time.
Formula
Total Hours = First Duration + Second Duration
- Add the two durations together: Total = A + B (in hours).
- The decimal total is also converted to hours and minutes by taking the whole-hour part and multiplying the remaining fraction by 60.
- Enter durations as decimals — for example 1.5 means 1 hour 30 minutes, and 0.25 means 15 minutes.
