ACFT Score Calculator (Simplified)

This simplified ACFT calculator gives a rough fitness estimate from three Army Combat Fitness Test events: the 3-rep-max deadlift, the standing power throw and the sprint-drag-carry. Enter your results and it returns a combined score where stronger lifts and throws and faster carries push the number up. It is an unofficial training estimate, not the official six-event ACFT scoring.

Formula

Score = Deadlift% + PowerThrow% + (100 - DragCarry%)
  • This is a simplified three-event proxy, not the official ACFT, which scores six events from 0 to 100 each using age- and sex-based tables.
  • Deadlift and power throw contribute more as the numbers rise; a faster (lower) sprint-drag-carry time scores higher.
  • The default reference points (180 lb deadlift, 15 ft throw, 60 s carry) are rough anchors, not pass marks.
  • Use it to track your own progress over time rather than to predict an official ACFT result.
  • For an official score, use the Army's published ACFT scoring standards for your age and sex.

Example Calculation

Inputs
  • Deadlift (lbs): 180
  • Power Throw (feet): 10
  • Drag Carry (seconds): 60

A 180 lb deadlift, a 10 ft power throw and a 60-second sprint-drag-carry give roughly 100 + 67 + 0 = 167 on this simplified scale. Improving the throw or trimming the carry time raises the score.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the official ACFT score?
No. The official ACFT scores six events from 0 to 100 each (max 600) using age and sex tables. This is a simplified three-event estimate for training.
What events does it use?
The 3-rep-max deadlift, the standing power throw, and the sprint-drag-carry. The other official events are not included.
Why is a lower sprint-drag-carry time better?
It is a timed event, so finishing faster reflects better performance and raises your score.
How should I use the result?
Treat it as a personal benchmark to track progress, not as a predictor of your official ACFT pass or fail.
Where can I find official standards?
Use the U.S. Army's published ACFT scoring scales, which list the points for each event by age group and sex.
